Days Of Elijah – Robin Mark

This week I’m sharing a song because it’s hovering around for over a month now. The song is Days Of Elijah by Robin Mark from Days Of Elijah (1995).

From childhood I’ve sung this song and liked this song, but over the past month the story behind it, particularly the story of Elijah, has become important for me. I see there’s so much more power in this song when I understood the power of God, working through His servants Elijah, Moses, Ezekiel  and David.

These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord,
And these are the days of Your servant Moses,
Righteousness being restored,
And though these are days of great trial,
Of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying,
“Prepare ye the way of the Lord!”

Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes.

These are the days of Ezekiel,
The dry bones becoming as flesh,
And these are the days of Your servant David,
Rebuilding a temple of praise,
These are the days of the harvest,
The fields are as white in Your world,
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard,
Declaring the word of the Lord!

There’s no God like Jehovah!

I also love how the song speaks into my life today. Today I’m living with opposition, oppression and trail, days of Elijah, but I know the salvation God has for me, giving me confidence to prepare and declare that Jesus is Lord.
